This is a store used grinder. Original paint though age faded and missing in spots. Original graphics are there though age faded and missing in spots. Patina matches it's 145+ years of age. Top, drawer, and wheels all work as they should. I believe she'll still grind coffee, but have not tested it. Still full of old ground coffee. From an old Montpelier Virginia estate. See photos. This is a museum quality piece with a professionally stabilized original patina finish.

    Condition Evaluation
: Excellent unrestored grinder. Paint and graphics are faded and missing in spots but are all original. Natural patina testifies to its age. Carved wood replacement drawer has the original porcelain knob. Under loop inspection of the top and in other areas where paint is missing: I see oxidized paint that matches the colors you see confirming aged original paint. I also found that the finish has been professionally stabilized to help prevent further paint degradation. This adds a satin sheen to the finish but does not change it. It's a protective process that is used in museums. This extends the life of the finish by decades. I inspected the wheels for cracks at all points and found none. The interior is full of old coffee grinds. Needs a simple cleaning. That is left to the buyer. Small amount of house paint transfer on back wheel edge. Wheel was touching a wall as used at some point. See photos.
